KorqStuc is a wall stucco that, like all Korq products, consists of 80% recycled cork. It provides a smooth finish with a subtle cloudy effect. A sustainable alternative to concrete ciré and microcement, it is available in a wide range of colors.

How does KorqStone work?
KorqStuc is applied in two layers with a trowel or trowel. For a smooth end result, sand lightly with 180 to 200-grit paper after drying. In wet areas, finish with a transparent eco-wax or PU varnish. Depending on the substrate, a primer may be necessary. For additional protection, a matching coating is available.

KorqStuc is naturally antifungal through a combination of the unique biological properties of cork and the physical action of the paint layer.
1. Natural resistance.
Cork is an organic material that is naturally resistant to moisture, chemicals and microorganisms. It contains the substance suberin, a waxy fatty acid compound that makes cork hydrophobic and impervious to rot. As a result, the surface provides no breeding ground for fungal spores.
2. Thermal insulation (prevents condensation).
One of the main causes of mold is condensation on cold walls. KorqStuc has a thermal insulating effect, making the walls feel less cold. This reduces the temperature difference with the indoor air, making condensation less likely to occur and preventing mold from growing.
3. Breathability (Vapor Openness).
Although the paint is waterproof on the outside, the structure remains vapor open. This means that moisture from the structure or interior can still escape ("breathe"). Trapped moisture is a known cause of mold; because KorqStuc allows this moisture to pass through, the wall remains drier.
4. Water-repellent barrier.
The paint forms an elastic, waterproof layer that blocks rainwater and rising moisture from outside. Keeping the wall dry eliminates the ideal damp environment for mold growth.
